Dr. John Curtin
Dr. John Curtin is a Chiropractor and the owner
of Aligned Chiropractic in Lake St. Louis, Missouri .Although not native to Missouri, Dr. Curtin has grown to call
Missouri home for the past 21 years. His greatest commitment to the area is his family to which he
is eternally dedicated. His wife, two infant daughters, and teenaged son are the light of
his life, and his inspiration for excellence.
Being value- and principal-driven is the
philosophy by which Dr. Curtin has structured his life. “When you always strive for greater heights - you become the
best you, and inspire others to reach beyond what they imagined
possible.” These words have
led Dr. Curtin throughout his academic, competitive sports and
professional endeavors.
Dr. Curtin holds bachelor degrees in Political
Science and Human Biology. These accomplishments were followed with
a Masters Degree in Sports Science, and Doctorate of Chiropractic. He spent the first 10 years of his professional life as a
Physician Assistant in Pathology before embarking on his vision of
specializing in the healthy functioning of individuals and athletes.
“It is important to me to encourage others to realize the
power in being active on
any level, assist the enhancement of their
performance in whatever
they choose to do, and inspire them to maximize their
potential.”
During
his childhood, Dr. Curtin didn’t meet a sport or activity he wasn’t
willing to conquer.“I may not have always been the best at every sport I tried, but I was
always my best no matter
what. That meant I was
always a winner.”Dr.
Curtin’s athletic strengths emerged in track, cycling, swimming and
sailing. He has competed in many triathlons from sprint distance to
half ironman, and at age 15 Dr. Curtin was considered one of the
youngest Half-Ironman Triathlete competitors in the country. Dr. Curtin has also sailed and cycled at the professional
level. Most recently,
Dr. Curtin has leveraged his experience and training as a Triathlete
to become a Triathlon Training Coach for Training Bible.
Dr. Curtin has approached his involvement in the
community with the same commitment and principles to which he has
lived his life. “It is
not enough just to be involved, but to contribute fully – making
things better and stronger in the process.”
He serves on the Executive Committee of The Child Center,
Inc. of Wentzville in the role of Secretary.
Dr. Curtin is also an active
member of the Kiwanis Service Organization, National Strength and
Conditioning Association, Missouri Chiropractic Association, Lake
Saint Louis Chamber of Commerce, Wentzville Chamber of Commerce, and
the Weldon Springs Chamber of Commerce.
Today Dr. Curtin has set his goals high with a
remarkable feat of 100 triathlons in 100 days –
the
P3
Triathlon Tour. This
attempt will be a Guinness World Record accomplishment.
Most important, however, is Dr. Curtin’s dedication of all
proceeds from this endeavor to children in crisis from experiences
with sexual and physical crimes of abuse.
“This was an enormous goal, and it only seemed natural to
leverage its enormity to benefit others in an equally enormous way.”
